Menulog is implementing a simple new way for restaurants to contact customers using a single phone number. This global update will streamline all customer contact and enhance privacy.
When will this happen?
This change will be implemented for all Menulog restaurant partners in Australia and New Zealand in the coming weeks.
Why are you doing this?
We are constantly working to improve the Menulog experience for both restaurant partners and customers. This change will provide restaurants with a single way to contact all customers and means customer phone numbers are never provided to restaurants.
How does it work?
Restaurants (and drivers) will see a single phone number towards the bottom of their order receipt, which they can dial to get in touch with the customer if needed. Restaurants or drivers then type in the customers’ order number to be connected to the customer. Once the call is connected, the customer will see a Caller ID number, which they can use to call the restaurant (or driver) for up to six hours after the accepted delivery time.
Where do I find the Order or the phone number?
Your Order Number will be displayed towards the top of your Menulog order receipt. The phone number will display towards the bottom of the print out, pending your Menulog device.
What do I need to do?
This process will be automatically applied to your restaurant as available. Contacting a customer is simple:
- Dial the number provided towards the bottom of your order receipt
- Enter the Menulog order number at the top of the receipt to be connected
Once the call is connected, the customer will see a Caller ID number, which they can use to call the restaurant (or driver) for up to six hours after the accepted delivery time.
