Phone the restaurant
If you or someone you are ordering for has a food allergy, it is essential you contact the restaurant via phone. If you are unable to contact the restaurant via phone, we recommend you do not place an order.
Why can’t Menulog guarantee my meal will be suitable for allergies or intolerances?
To ensure your safety, it’s important you speak directly with those that are cooking the food at the restaurant. Speaking directly with the restaurant will allow you to communicate allergy requirements in detail, with the people preparing your meal. Restaurants are also best placed to answer your questions about ingredients used in your meal and how they are cooked.
How does Menulog make sure the restaurant’s menu is correct?
When a restaurant signs up to Menulog, they provide us with up-to-date menu information, which is added to their dedicated Menulog page. We also require them to notify us if any menu details change.
Why can’t Menulog speak with the restaurant on my behalf?
The only person who can provide sufficient detail about allergens to ensure your safety, is you. As such, it’s important you speak directly with the restaurant. Customer safety is Menulog’s foremost priority and as such, we cannot take the risk of having allergen information miscommunicated.
Can’t I just write my allergy information in the comments box when I order?
No. It is essential you contact the restaurant directly via phone. Restaurants can get very busy, which brings the risk of misreading or missing part or all of a comment on an order.
How do I get in touch with the restaurant?
Please contact the restaurant directly via phone. If you are having trouble finding the restaurant’s phone number online, please contact Menulog via Live Chat or by calling 1300 664 335 and ask them to provide the restaurant’s phone number. Please do not provide allergen information to Menulog customer service - please make sure you call the restaurant directly using the number provided.
I have additional questions about allergies - what can I do?
We always recommend you contact the restaurant directly to discuss your specific food allergies or intolerances before placing your order directly with them.
